Under Construction

Downtown Longmont is going to undergo a series of transformations and improvements as we work to build a better City. See projects in progress below.

Soon we will kick off an extensive Complete Street project on Coffman Street between 9th and 1st Avenues. The investment in this project will bring the best of multimodal transportation, including pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and automobile access into the core of the city.

Planning is well underway for the 1st & Main Transit Station that will bring convenient access to northern Colorado, metro Denver and Boulder, connecting to future rail, as well as bringing additional parking, housing, and working space to our community.

A new downtown boutique hotel, that has been a priority in community plans for almost 50 years is breaking ground. In 2025, it will bring 84 rooms, a rooftop restaurant and meeting space into our downtown area.

Across 3rd Avenue, the City of Longmont’s Safety & Justice building is going under a complete rehabilitation, carrying out the 2018, citizen-approved bond project.

Also in the Downtown area, we have private developers and private property owners who are reinvesting in the historic core of our downtown to rehab buildings and bring new restaurants and retail stores into our city core.

All of this activity is consistent with our community’s vision and we’re excited to work with you through this process.
