Longmont Artist receives award

Longmont, Colorado based artist, John Taft, received Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine’s “Award of Excellence” for his oil painting, “Sleeping Acres”, at this year’s Coors Western Art Show / National Western Club Show opening at the National Stock Show in Denver.  All three of Mr. Taft’s works in the National Western Club Show sold during the Stock Show.

Originally from New York, Mr. Taft moved to Colorado 10 years ago to pursue painting full time.  His studio is located on Main Street in Longmont and is open to the public during Longmont’s 2nd Friday events and by appointment.  He is represented by Vail International Gallery and Breckenridge Gallery.
