Q & A with Owner Helen Morse Walker

Q: Why did you decide on making Downtown Longmont your own home base?

A: Longmont is an amazing community, it's friendly, affordable and accessible. I started my business here 29 years ago. I knew this is where I wanted to be. I have been a resident since 1980, and Longmont is where I call home. This is where I raised my daughters, and where they are now raising their own children.

Q: How can customers make Elite Electrology Esthetic Spa their own favorite place, and how can they take ownership of supporting you during this time?

A: We strive to meet our clients needs and recognize that each person is unique and we are here to offer our services to support their well-being, relaxation, and provide personalized treatments. During this challenging time, we continue to fill requests for gift certificates, products, answer questions, and continue to schedule appointments post quarantine.

Q: Why and how did you get into your line of business?

A: Prior to opening Elite Electrology Esthetic Spa I was in the dental field for 23 years. I saw an opportunity to help people accomplish some of their goals to improve on their esthetics. Patients would mention other things they would like to work on, specifically hair removal, thus was the start of my business. Continuing to see the needs and concerns in other areas, I continued my education and became a Licensed Esthetician and Licensed and Certified Permanent Makeup Artist. I wanted to expand my skills in the area for facials and body treatments, so once again I returned to school and became a Licensed Massage Therapist.

Q: What do you enjoy most about doing business?

A: I find profound joy helping people reach their maximum potential and educating them on services and products to assist them in reaching their esthetic goals.

Q: What differentiates you from other businesses?

A: Elite Electrology Esthetic Spa has been a part of the Longmont community for the last 29 years, we are family owned and operated. I am joined in business by my two daughters, Emily Bashor, Licensed Esthetician, Certified Electrologist and Certified Lash Extentionist, and Heidi Cline, Licensed Massage Therapist. We actively seek opportunities to educate ourselves and strive to improve on the quality and services we offer.
