Downtown #Strongmont Business of the Day - Sweet Nightingale Boutique and Home Decor

Downtown #Strongmont Business of the Day

Sweet Nightingale Boutique and Home Decor - 439 Main St.

Sweet Nightingale Boutique is a woman owned business located in Downtown Longmont. Owner, Tarin Newell, opened her doors in June, 2018 at 439 Main Street. She has a beautiful combination of women's clothing, home decor, baby items, and gifts. She has also incorporated the special touch of local handmade items, some of which are made by people very close to her. The crocheted items are made by her mother, Lisa, and sisters Jordan and Kendall. Her shop also features jewelry made by her grandmother, Karen. Watch a virtual tour video of the store on their Facebook page.

Q & A with Tarin Newell, Owner

Q: Why you decided to open in Downtown Longmont.

A: When I moved to Longmont in 2017 I visited downtown Longmont. I loved the look and feel of walking around this old/historic Main St. It reminded me so much of the "old downtown" I had back home. However, at the time downtown Longmont seemed to have restaurants and bars, but seemed to be missing the shopping we enjoyed so much. I wanted to bring that to downtown Longmont.

Q: How can your customers make Sweet Nightingale their own favorite place, and how can they take ownership of supporting you during this time?

A: Customers/patrons can support Sweet Nightingale Boutique by continuing to tell their friends and families about our unique shop. Word of mouth is still such a genuine form of support. For patrons who are on social media they can support us through comments, likes, shares, etc. Patrons are now also able to support Sweet Nightingale Boutique by shopping online. At this time, 100% of our inventory is not available online, but we are adding more all the time. Gift cards are always available and are a great form of support to all small businesses and for those patrons who want to show support but aren't sure what to purchase. Sweet Nightingale Boutique offers store-pick up or shipping options for all online purchases.

Q: Why and how did you get into your line of business?

A: I love shopping and decorating. I loved helping people do those things and I followed that love.

Q: What do you enjoy most about doing business?

A: I love picking unique and beautiful things to bring to Longmont and I love helping my customers find them.

Q: What differentiates you from other businesses?

A: Sweet Nightingale Boutique brings uniqueness that is different from all other shops downtown. Every shop owner or buyer has unique and different taste. We may look at the same brand, but come away with different inventory. At Sweet Nightingale Boutique we also have many one of a kind items that are handmade by local artisans.

During the Stay at Home order, we'll be featuring a different Downtown Longmont business each day. These small businesses are the heartbeat of our community and are a big reason why this is such a great place to live, work, and play. This is a difficult time for everyone, and small businesses and their owners and employees are no exception.

There are many ways you can support them during this time, from liking, following, and sharing their content on social media, to making online or over-the-phone purchases of products or gift cards. We've created a LOCAL Incentive Program that rewards customers with Downtown Longmont Gift Cards for supporting small businesses directly.
