Quarters Bar+Arcade, Downtown Longmont’s #RaddestBar, opened in 2018. What began as a shared vision between husband and wife back in 2012 is now a unique space filled to the brim with nostalgia and fun. But this isn't exactly the arcade you remember as a kid -- unless you're imagining a pour-it-yourself drink wall. They feature 20 taps of craft beer, wine, cider, and hard seltzer activated when you want with the convenient self-serve microchip in your wristband. The drinks and the arcade games ensure new adventures on every visit -- one thing they can always guarantee, though, is an experience nothing short of rad. Q: Why we decided to open in Downtown Longmont.
A: When we were looking for spaces to open Quarters, downtown was definitely where we wanted to be! We love downtown Longmont! It has such a positive vibe about it. With the exception of our current situation, the streets are always buzzing with people, the businesses are thriving, and adding in the festivals and downtown celebrations, the sense of community is very strong in downtown. Now that we are situated in the heart of downtown, we couldn't be happier!
Q: How can your customers make Quarters their own favorite place, and how can they take ownership of supporting you during this time?
A: During this time, Quarters is still selling merchandise and gift cards. If our community wants to continue supporting us, even though our doors are closed, they can email us at QuartersLongmont@gmail.com and we can help them. We are safely delivering merchandise and mailing out any gift cards that have been purchased. We are truly thankful for all the support that we have received thus far!
Q: Why and how did you get into your line of business?
A: About 8 years ago, we visited a bar and arcade in Denver and had a blast. After that experience, we talked about opening our own similar place in Longmont. We talked about it for about five years before we decided to move forward with it. Once we committed to it, we never looked back.
Q: What do you enjoy most about doing business?
A: Our favorite thing about doing business is the community and the relationships that we have made! We love the people that come in to Quarters as well as the other downtown business owners, LDDA, Visit Longmont and so many others. Everyone has been so supportive and we are so grateful!
Q: What differentiates you from other businesses?
A: The main thing that differentiates us from other businesses is our self-serve drink wall. We offer a very unique experience to our clients. Guests can check in by showing ID and setting up a tab, getting an RFID wristband, then using the wristband to turn on our 20 tap system and 19 arcade games.There aren't any other places around here that offer that experience. In fact, we are the largest self serve bar and arcade in the state of CO. There are other bar and arcades as well as other self serve tap systems in the state, but we are the only one that has integrated the RFID technology between our self pour taps and the games. It is unique and we love that about Quarters.
During the Stay at Home order, we'll be featuring a different Downtown Longmont business each day. These small businesses are the heartbeat of our community and are a big reason why this is such a great place to live, work, and play. This is a difficult time for everyone, and small businesses and their owners and employees are no exception.
