Downtown #Strongmont Business of the Day
Microspa - 703 3rd Ave.

Microspa is a Spa Boutique that made Downtown Longmont home in 2016. At Microspa, you can receive the services of a traditional spa whether you need Therapeutic Massage, a Skin Condition addressed, or just needing some Pampering. The owner, Vanessa Slattery, has over twenty years of experience to share with you. "This is not just a luxury, but an investment.  When you invest in self care as part of your lifestyle, you are investing in yourself. Find your place of balance in addition to your own inner and outer kind of beauty." Visit her website at www.microspa.com to view all services offered.

Vanessa invites you to join her for an Online Reflexology Workshop this Saturday, April 25 at 10 a.m. on Facebook.

Q & A with Vanessa Slattery, Owner of Microspa

Q: Why I decided to open in Downtown Longmont.

A: I fell in love with the unique stores, restaurants, and the events in downtown Longmont from the first time I came to an ArtWalk event.I knew that this is where I wanted to open my business and be part of this community.

Q: How can your customers make Microspa their own favorite place, and how can they take ownership of supporting you during this time?

A: Clients that want an experience that focuses on Personalized Spa Services for the individual. Each session is designed specifically for you. My goal is to have you walk away feeling that your individual needs were met as well as both body and spirit were revitalized. You can support Microspa by using the following services during this time. I am available for virtual skin analysis and consultations; Virtual Facial Parties, Gift certificates, Delivery for Spa bags and Facial Kits.

Q: Why and how did you get into your line of business?

A: I became interested in the body’s ability to heal and trained in Reiki in 1993. After that I was hooked on helping people feel good and helping them get relief. I then went back to school and became a Nationally and state licensed massage therapist in 1998. In 2008 I decided I wanted to bring more into my practice to serve my clientele and then went back to school to be an esthetician. I still love what I do and serving the Longmont community.

Q: What do you enjoy most about doing business?

A: I love being of service to my clients and helping them achieve their goals and educating them on how to maintain results.

Q: What differentiates you from other businesses?

A: This is a place where you can receive the services of a traditional spa whether you need Therapeutic Massage, a Skin Condition addressed, or just need some Pampering. This industry has changed the quality of my life, from working and sharing these services with my clients to receiving them myself.

During the Stay at Home order, we'll be featuring a different Downtown Longmont business each day. These small  businesses are the heartbeat of our community, and are a big reason why this is such a great place to live, work, and play. This is a difficult time for everyone, and small businesses and their owners and employees are no exception.

There are many ways you can support them during this time, from liking, following, and sharing their content on social media, to making online or over-the-phone purchases of products or gift cards. We've created a LOCAL Incentive Program that rewards customers with Downtown Longmont Gift Cards for supporting small businesses directly.
