We live in a very yang style society. We are always on the go, fast paced trying to catch up or get to the next thing in life. This may include our jobs, family obligations or even our recreation. Yin is the exact opposite of all of that. Yin teaches us to slow down, be patient and explore our thoughts and tendencies. Yin provides the balance to our yang society.
Yin yoga provides us with the opportunity to grow and self study. We learn about our self setting limitations, the difference between patience and perseverance, and our ability to be still in both mind and body. Yin yoga is more than just stretching. It is going into the deep layers and targeting fascia, ligaments, joints, cartilage and bones. These deep tissues will be targeted in safe manner.
This training is divided into 2 segments. The physical body and the subtle body. You can take either training first. Each training is 15 hours longs. The schedule Friday night from 5:30-7:30pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5:30pm.
Each training is worth 15 hours of Continuing Education Credits with Yoga Alliance.
In this training, you will learn some of the most common yin poses. You will learn how safely cue these poses and how to offer modifications for these poses. We will study physiology and anatomy. We will talk about the bones and deep tissues. We will talk about the limits to movement and skeletal variation.
Cost is $225
