Winter Solstice Celebrations & Nature Creations
Downtown businesses will host fun activities & nature creations as part of a Winter Solstice celebration! And don’t miss TinkerMill maker space’s Astronomy on the Sidewalk from 11am-7pm featuring a telescope and a solar scope.
When the Northern Hemisphere is tilted the furthest away from the sun, we come together to celebrate resilience and hope in the face of darkness. It reminds us that the sun rises again even after the longest night, bringing new beginnings and brighter days. TinkerMill’s Astronomy on the Sidewalk will be out and about downtown with their solar scope and telescope - tracking the sun, Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus. You’re invited to view the sun and celestial bodies in a brand new, technology-forward way! Celebrate nature’s resilience with our own by creating nature-based crafts with the community! Take some time to slow down. Set your intentions for new beginnings! And create art with each other downtown, Saturday, December 21st 11am-3pm
