June Second Saturday Creative Crawl! Join painter Sam Stiner at Magic Fairy Candles. Sam will be selling original artwork & prints.

About Sam Stiner:
My name is Sam Stiner and I am a 23-year-old lifelong resident of Colorado. I am currently living and working in Longmont Colorado. I have been painting for 4 years and have completed a 6-month residency at The Walnut Gallery, and I have displayed a solo exhibition at Trident Booksellers and Cafe. I believe that the line between philosophy and art is non-existent, and I view my paintings and drawings as the abstract-surrealist, and abstract-absurdist response to post-modern thought. I use non-representational techniques to convey post-modern existentialism and anarcho-socialist ideology, and to provide a window into the struggles of living with bipolar disorder. I have been influenced by Elaine de Kooning, Vasily Kandinsky, Peter Kropotkin, Angela Davis, and Aldus Huxley.

What is the Second Saturday Creative Crawl? Well, I’m glad you asked. Every Second Saturday, businesses around Downtown Longmont host events and creatives to celebrate Longmont’s creative community. All Longmont creatives are invited to participate (you don’t have to live or work in the “creative district” to participate).
