Dr. Jim Seely has been playing guitar with bands along the Colorado Front Range for the past 25 years. The bands he’s played in include Dr. Doctor, The Blues Ambassadors, Papa Juke, The Blues DoGS, and his current three piece blues/funk band 50 Shades of Blue. In 2016 and 2024 Jim’s band (50 Shades of Blue) won the Mile High Blues Society International Blues Challenge and represented them at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
Jim has been playing solo as Dr Jim’s One Man Band for the past three years. The good Doctor plays an eclectic mix of Americana, including blues, R&R, and funk… as well as a growing list of original songs.
