Downtown Longmont’s Holiday festivities continue with the ‘Light up the Plaza’ event on Friday, November 25 from 5:30-7pm at the Library & Civic Center Plaza (350 Kimbark St.).
There will be tons of fun things happening tomorrow! Here’s what to know before you go:
- Event starts at 5:30pm
- Giveaway goody bags: courtesy of High Plains Bank – while supplies last!
- Live DJ: DJ Drake will provide the holiday grooves to get your body moving.
- Laser Projection show: Laserosity will provide a fun holiday laser show projected directly on the Library building.
- Brando the Elf: returning for another year, fan-favorite Brando the Elf is excited to serve as our emcee and holiday cheer facilitator.
- Fun contests, games, and prize giveaways (facilitated by Brando the Elf)
- Warm Drinks & Sweet Treats provided by Ingvaldsen & Associates
- Make & take holiday craft activities, community art projects, and Longmont Creative District arts organizations.
- Reading of The Christmas Curse of Krampus by local author Devin Arloski
- HOPE (Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement) will have a station for decorating bags to be given out to those experiencing homelessness this holiday season, and we will also be collecting donations to support their mission.
- Visits with Santa for the duration of the event.
- For the grand finale, we’ll need everyone’s help and energy on the dance floor to light up the plaza beginning around 6:30!
