Colorado’s longest standing Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration begins in Longmont on Friday, October 8 and runs through Monday, November 7.
Visit Downtown business altars starting October 8 through November 5.
Check out exhibits at the Longmont Museum and Firehouse Art Center from October 9 - November 7.
Attend the Family Celebration on 4th Avenue between Main St. and Coffman St. from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, October 9.
Día de los Muertos is widely observed in Mexico and Guatemala, and is a time when the living remember and honor departed relatives and loved ones. Rather than being a somber time of remembrance, as the name may suggest, Day of the Dead is a time of festive celebration.
