Dear teen,

When I was your age, I was writing song lyrics and strumming the guitar, but I didn’t yet know I was an aspiring poet. So let me put it this way: Do you like doing things with words? Do you like patterns, rhythms, details, and making things? Do you want to find out if you might like writing poetry? Curious to meet other interesting people who would spend Saturday afternoon at a poetry workshop? This program is for you.

Register for Cosmic Keyhole Poetry Salon, a FREE afternoon writing workshop for teens in the library’s outdoor reading garden. We will delve into the art and craft of poetry in a fun, inspiring, and creative environment (with pizza!). No poetry writing experience required, only a willingness to do it anyway. Hope to see you there!

This workshop kicks off National Poetry Month. Come visit Children and Teens Services anytime throughout the month of April to learn about poetry and write a poem of your own.
