Designed to engage, inform, and equip people with practical ways to help make a difference on climate change, Climate Action Sundays feature information tables, kids activities, and a panel discussion featuring experts who will provide the latest information on air quality, waste management, energy, and water.
Our trash can have a negative impact on the community from the contamination of soil and water to the production of greenhouse gas emissions. Spend your Sunday afternoon at a family-friendly waste management event featuring information tables, kids’ activities and a panel discussion to learn about practical steps that can be taken to reduce waste in the community.
2-5 pm: Information Fair & Kids’ Activities
3 pm: Panel Discussion with Randy Moorman of Eco-Cycle and Tim Broderick of Boulder County’s Zero Waste Action Plan. Moderated by Hilary Rosner, Assistant Director of CU Boulder’s Center for Environmental Journalism
Spanish interpretation will be provided (Ofreceremos interpretación al español). Co-presented with the City of Longmont's Sustainability Program and Sustainable Resilient Longmont.
