A great creative afterschool option! Join Firehouse for 3 Mondays in November for Afterschool Clay Creations. It is $65 for all 3 classes.
Class Description: During the class we will explore various clay techniques and finishes. With a focus on handbuilding the children will create art through both teacher-guided and self-guided experiences. In addition, students will have opportunities during the class for creative expression through decorating and painting themed activities. The first week we will make our own beads to make either a necklace, keychain or window hanger. Then using a pinch pot method and the slab roller we will create a hot cocoa mug and saucer. In the second class we will finish up our mug and saucer and begin painting the beads and planning out our accessory. The last class we will talk about color palates and how through various color combinations it can change the feeling our projects can give us.
