Downtown Longmont is Holiday Central! Throughout November & December, explore our calendar of events, classes, workshops, and more. Or just take a stroll and enjoy holiday lights, window displays, photo opportunities, and murals.

Every Saturday brings something special beginning November 9:


Nov 9 – Winter Passport Launch & Outdoor Entertainment

Kicking off the 7th year of our Winter Passport program, presented by High Country Bank. More than $1,000 in prizes are awarded for shopping in local, downtown businesses. To celebrate the launch, we’ll have outdoor entertainment and activities – street musicians, buskers, and holiday activities outside local businesses between 11am-3pm.

Nov 16 – Fall Al Fresco Sidewalk Sales & Street Market
Shop inside and out from 11am-4pm with sidewalk sales alongside street vendors & artists for some early holiday shopping “al fresco”. Visit Downtown during the day to check out all the unique and handmade items, enjoy a fall stroll and get a head start on your holiday shopping!

Nov 23 – Merry-achi Holidays Plaza Lighting
Presented by High Plains Bank
Light up with the ‘Merry-achi Holidays” Plaza Lighting on Saturday, November 23 from 6-7pm at the Library West Plaza (350 Kimbark St.). 300 attendees will receive a Goody Bag courtesy of High Plains Bank and help count down and light up the plaza around 6:30 pm. Join us for music, make & take craft activities, sweet treats and warm drinks provided by NextLight, Santa, and mariachi performances by Las Dahlias!

Plaza Lighting pre-party: Beginning at 5:30 (before the Plaza Lighting), head to Old Town Marketplace at 332 Main St. for an informal pre-party – small bites, warm drinks, music, and fun. At 5:45, Las Dahlias will lead attendees over to the Plaza Lighting with a roaming performance, and then we’ll kick off the Plaza Lighting event at 6pm!

Nov 30 – Small Business Saturday & “Santa Crawl” Dress Up Downtown Costume Crawl
Downtown Longmont is THE destination for Small Business Saturday, presented by High Country Bank. Featuring photo opportunities in St. Stephen's Plaza, roaming holiday characters, and surprise giveaways and prize drawings for downtown shoppers! When you shop local, you're making an investment in your community.
Stick around (or come back) for Dress Up Downtown Santa Costume Crawl – bring your Santa hats, white beards, and holiday cheer! Participating businesses will offer themed food and drink specials, games, challenges, photo ops, and so much more! Come in costume, or just show up!

Dec 7 – Seasonal Smile Photo Opportunities
Bring your phones, cameras, tripods, selfie sticks and smiles for some fun photo opportunities Downtown! Enjoy 3 ice carving sculptures throughout the downtown district, a 10-foot, walk-in, illuminated ornament/snow globe in St. Stephen’s Plaza at 5th and Main, as well as holiday lights, window displays, and holiday decorations throughout the district. Dec 14 – Longmont Lights Parade & Double Winter Passport Stickers
The Longmont Lights parade will begin at 5pm on Longs Peak Ave. See all of the twinkling floats as they make their way down Kimbark Street and Main Street! Don’t miss Santa as he waves to all a good night.
Come down early or stay after the parade to collect 2x Winter Passport stickers all day ($10 purchase = 2 stickers) when you shop, eat, or drink at participating businesses! Don’t miss the 300 Block pre-party with music, activities, entertainment, and more on Main St. between 3rd & 4th Ave. starting at 4pm and watch out for information on the Shoes & Brews’ Main Street Kids Run at www.shoesbrews.com.

Dec 21 – Winter Solstice Celebration & Astronomy on the Sidewalk
Downtown businesses will host fun activities as part of a Winter Solstice stroll! Make the most of the shortest day of the year with nature crafts, activities, and food and drink specials. And don’t miss TinkerMill maker space’s Astronomy on the Sidewalk from 11am-7pm featuring a telescope and a solar scope.

Dec 28 – “Roaring 20’s” Dress Up Downtown Costume Crawl & 20% Off Sales
Travel back in time for the Dress Up Downtown Costume Crawl – wear your flapper dresses and Gatsby-themed attire – it’s the Roaring 20’s! Participating businesses will offer themed food and drink specials, games, challenges, photo ops, and so much more!
Throughout the day, select businesses will also be hosting 20% off clearance items to bring in the new year!
