Parking Permits: The Longmont Downtown Development Authority issues parking permits for community members who require them. Permits are valid for a designated parking lot and cannot be used for on-street parking or parking lots other than the permit designated lot number. Buying a permit does not guarantee a parking space. Parking lots and spaces may temporarily close for maintenance, repair, special use or upon authorization of the City Manager or his designee. Most lots have waiting lists. Permits are issued twice a year, for the periods of January through June (in the amount of $120.00, which equates to $20.00 per month) and July through December (in the amount of $120.00, which equates to $20.00 per month).

Invoices are issued after the 15th of the month preceding the end of the period (December, June).  Permit holders paying late (1st through 5th of the month) will incur a $25.00 late payment fee. Permits not paid by the 5th will be forfeited to the next person on the waiting list. Payments can be made by credit card, check, money order or cash.

If spaces are available, new permits will be pro-rated and issued through the end of the existing quarter. Refunds will be prorated if in excess of one month. Checks for less than $20 will not be issued. Lost permits will be replaced at a $25 per month fee.
